The Ebenezer Forest Farm Online Store!

It's here!! We finally have an Amazon a-store (although it's not exactly working yet =) ), but go ahead and take a peek-- it's really nice!

On another note... Our entire blog posting format has suddenly changed into this fancy new way... which is quite confusing I might add! Do any bloggers out there know how to change it back to the good old fashioned way? Please let us know if you do! Update: I just figured out how to fix it! Thanks!

Enjoy our new a-store!

Bethany's 16th Birthday Party!

A few weeks ago we were invited to come to Bethany J. 16th BD party! We had a wonderful time! Enjoy these pictures!
----------------------------

What would a Birthday be without a big surprise?! Not only did we surprise Bethany by keeping a secret as to our attendance, but we also surprised her by taking her (and her cousin Annie's) picture when she opened the door!

A picture of Bethany. (Photo credits to Bethany!)
Getting set up.

Annie came up with an amazing idea! She brought card kits for everyone to make! They were very pretty.

Hard at work.

Eden and some of me.

Shiloh's done! Isn't it beautiful?

Bethany's uncle brought fun hats for us all to wear! (Click on the picture to get the full effect!) L-R Bethany: Shark, Eden: Fish, Shiloh: Chicken, Bethany: Crab, Annie: Sea Creature.

And from the side! A charming picture!

Bethany ready to blow out her candles.

After the smoke cleared...

After we ate, we all went and sang some hymns together.

Here's Bethany with her beautiful harp.

Everyone.
Shiloh playing violin.

Bethany and Bethany.

We gave Bethany a hat for her Birthday.

Happy Birthday Bethany!

For the more attentive reader... you may remember "The Two Bethany's" picture. Well, we just had to take an another! So here is: The Two Bethany's!

It was a day to remember! Here's all the girls. L-R Annie, Bethany, Shiloh, Bethany, and Eden.

Thank you Bethany, for inviting us! Happy Birthday!

Virtuous Women Magazine: V6, I1

Volume 6, Issue 1 of The Virtuous Women Magazine is finally out! We are so excited! This issue's theme is "Witnessing: Being a Light" and it will be featuring many articles on that subject as well as some special additions, the Photo/Drawing Contest winners, and so much more! Below is a picture of the front cover:

Remember how De-De set up the issues last time? This time she did a lovely sunflower! Which makes us all look forward to summer. :)

Who can find a virtuous woman?
for her price is far above rubies:
~Proverbs 31:10~

Just for size.... De-De lies down by the big yellow flower set-up to give an example of how large it was. I could barely get it to fit into the camera!

Well! The magazine should find it's way into your mailbox very soon! Also, if you are reading this and you are not a subscriber and are interested in the magazine... please leave us a comment and we will let you know what information you need to subscribe or to receive a sample!

Have a blessed day,

~Shiloh~

Irish You a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

In honor of St. Patrick's Day the Irish Girl here is going to post a yummy recipe!

So, here's the recipe... and enjoy the pictures!!

~*~

Healthy Frosting

For this recipe you will need the following:

~1 8oz. package of Cream Cheese

~5 Tbsp. Honey (add more for desired taste)

~1/2 tsp. Vanilla
~2Tbsp. Butter

~Coloring: For the cookies (below) I used food coloring, but for some colors there are a few natural variations:

~Tan to Brown: Carob Powder (You could also try Cacao Powder)

~Pink: add beet juice or juice off pickled beets

~Yellow: annato butter color or turmeric

~Green: liquid cholorophyll

~Gray to Black: charcoal powder

To make the frosting: Simple blend until smooth and then chill in your refrigerator. Once it's chilled you can frost your cookies etc. and to store place in an airtight container and freeze. It's that easy and it delicious too!!

~*~

I love Ireland!

1) Making the Frosting: Honey and Butter

2) Add coloring

3) Someone simply must try it... Is there enough honey??

4) Make your cookies, cake, etc.

5) After the frosting has been chilled: spread it! This is the fun part!!

Yummy!!

I hope you enjoyed the recipe and pictures!! Check back soon to see what we did with this frosting for desert on St. Patrick's Day!! :)

"May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand."

We're Kidding! No Kidding? No-KIDDING!!!

Last week, our doe Fiddle gave birth to two baby does! Hurray! It was a great birth and like last year... we missed it...! Oh well! At least we were there for the rest of the excitement! Enjoy these pictures!

--------------------------------

Everything is a blur of color as we rush pell-mell to take care of this and that! Shiloh is extremely intense!

Shiloh relaxes as she takes a break and languishes by Fiddle! (As Shiloh says: "Have you ever laid on the ground of a barn floor?")

Cleaning up a bit after the birth.

Here is an "outside" view to the "inside" going-ons!

And there they are! Two cute little baby girls! Rachel and Hadassah!

Judah and the goats.

Awwww! Aren't they just ADORABLE!?

And Eden is already playing with them...! Me... well... work, work, work!

Judah loves them!

Here is the Mama! (I think she's thinking: "Whew! What a workout!")

She's a little on the hungry side! I guess giving birth is no easy task!

So there you have it! The entire goat birth (well, the majority being that we missed it!) in pictures and words!

We are all very thankful to God for blessing us with these wonderful goats! PTL!

"...The goats are the price of the field. And thou shalt have goats' milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens."

~Proverbs 27:26b-27

A Thought on Truffles

Mommy recently found a chocolate truffle recipe for me to try. I tried it and everyone loved it so much that Mommy said truffle making could be my job(!)...
Then one fine evening I thought I would teach my youngest sister the art of truffle making...
And......
#1:
#2:
#3:
Maybe I'll stick with truffle making myself...
Note: She did an excellent job of cleaning up her mess and I've discovered a mess free way of making truffles!
