Celebrating Passover

Our family tradition is to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Passover.  Although we just do a Seder dinner, we still enjoy the tradition and have learned a lot through it.
Since Resurrection Day is today, we did our Seder dinner last night.

Here are the pictures from the dinner!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The table set with the traditional foods.
Shiloh making... well, tasting the special chocolate pie she made!  :)
Elijah's place.
(Since we have nine at the table now, we couldn't possibly fit in another plate!)
The Seder Plate.
Benjamin, Havilah, and Judah all ready for the dinner--complete with some costumes!
All of us children around the table.
Since we were listening to Daddy lead the Seder, we didn't get any pictures of that.  However, when it was time to hunt for the Afikoman... the camera was ready!
Us older ones helped a younger one look... and I took pictures!
Eden helping Havilah.
Looking under the cushions...
Eden double checks!
Oh wait!  Some one's got it!!!
And it was...
Judah!  Yeah!  He's the WINNER!
Judah hands in the Afikoman and gets a prize of chocolate chips!
After the Passover dinner, we started singing one of our funny songs!  This time it was for Easter and we all lined up and danced while we sang it!  Just a typical thing for us!  :)
Getting everyone in line!
And off we go!
And there's Judah!  (He kind of got lost in the other picture!)
Yes, it was a delightful evening!
Happy Passover to you...
And Happy Resurrection Day!
Christ is risen indeed!!!
Christ the Lord is Risen Today!
Image Credit: Google
Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heav’ns, and earth, reply, Alleluia!
Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Lo! the Sun’s eclipse is o’er, Alleluia!
Lo! He sets in blood no more, Alleluia!
Vain the stone, the watch, the seal, Alleluia!
Christ hath burst the gates of hell, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids Him rise, Alleluia!
Christ hath opened paradise, Alleluia!
Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!
Soar we now where Christ hath led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!
Hail, the Lord of earth and Heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to Thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail, the resurrection, thou, Alleluia!
King of glory, Soul of bliss, Alleluia!
Everlasting life is this, Alleluia!
Thee to know, Thy power to prove, Alleluia!
Thus to sing and thus to love, Alleluia!
Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heavenly King, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!
But the pains that He endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation have procured, Alleluia!
Now above the sky He’s King, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!
Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!
Happy Resurrection Day & Happy Passover!!
Oregon Right To Life Convention
Since I won first place at County in ORTL's Oratory Contest, I was blessed to be able to compete at the State competition this Saturday.  The competition took place during the actual ORTL Convention, so my parents, Shiloh, and I were able to look around a bit and even hear a wonderful session!
Although I didn't place with the top three competitors, my speech was blessed by God and I enjoyed the competition very much!  And yes, I will be doing it next year too!  :)
Enjoy the pictures from our day!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I had quite a large audience which made it very fun!

During my speech.

All the competitors!
It was fun getting to meet these girls afterwards!
Daddy, Shiloh, and I watched a really, really good workshop on how to defend the humanness of an unborn baby.  It was done by Alan Shlemon who started the organization Stand To Reason

Shiloh and I after a wonderful day and a quick stop with Daddy to get some frozen yogurt!  Yum!

"Eden are you going to take the picture now?!?!"

Here are some excerpts from my speech:

"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."
~Psalm 139:14
Let us always defend the unborn baby whose voice is not heard.  We are the only ones that can speak out for them!  They are as much human as we are; we should never throw their life away for the sake of making ours "better".  Let us be their voice!
Protect life!

We Gotcha!

One Month Home Anniversary!
--

The Heavens Declare

During the "Pox Party" last week Daddy did some clearing in the front yard.  Without so many small trees and bushed the lovely sun can take a peek into our cozy home.  :)  Here are some picture of the gorgeous results:

The sky was so lovely the other day:

~Havilah Tirfe~

Here are a couple pictures of my lovely, photogenic (as long as I show her the photos after they are taken ;)), sister!

De-De was playing around with Havilah last night and did a bit of dress up after bath time--
hence the tu-tu over her jamies. :)

Enjoy the pictures!!

This one is my favorite! :)

Are You A Fool?

Here's a repost from last year.....

What type of a fool are you?

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
~Proverbs 12:15

Let us all strive to be wise like King Solomon and to lay aside the sin (foolishness) that so easily besets us!
