Baptized!

Every summer, our congregation does a church service in the park.  One of the reasons for this is so that people can be baptized (mikvah) in the river.  On that day, us four older ones (Shiloh, Jordan, Eden, and I) were baptized!

I thought I should share what I wrote prior to my baptism:
"I am so excited!

Tomorrow is a day that will be a huge milestone in my life.

I am getting baptized!!! I have looked forward to this day for quite some time now. The Lord has worked everything out in His timing and it's going to be extra special that it will be on the same day as my mother's birthday (that means I'll never forget it!).

Baptism is an outward proclamation of an inward transformation. It is where you publicly declare your death, burial, and resurrection with Jesus Christ. As we see in Scripture, repentance and Salvation in Jesus comes before baptism. Christians are commanded to be baptized. It is making a commitment to Christ.

"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
~Romans 6:3-4

"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."
1 Corinthians 12:13

"A man who knows that he is saved by believing in Christ does not, when he is baptized, lift his baptism into a saving ordinance. In fact, he is the very best protester against that mistake, because he holds that he has no right to be baptized until he is saved."
~Charles Spurgeon"

I am so grateful to Evan S. for taking these pictures.  This was one incredible, amazing, awesome, and wonderful day!!!  I am so thrilled and overjoyed!

Two little guys getting ready for the service to start!

We were blessed to be apart of the special worship dance.

And maybe we just had too much fun with the open dancing.  ;)

I don't have a name for this dance step yet...

Evan is quite a fantastic photographer, don't you think?  He can take armless selfies.  That takes some talent!

Love this picture of Elanee at the river!

Now for the baptism pictures... You know, I don't think I'm going to caption them because they speak for themselves.  :)

It was so neat to come out of the water to the sounds of the congregation cheering and the shofars blowing!

It was such a blessing to be apart of this!!!

It was very beautiful to watch this family get dedicated to the Lord together.

I see you!

It was very special to watch our "adopted" sister Lindsey rededicate herself to the Lord.  She is such a special person!

One moment as my heart melts over such cuteness...

Daddy helped escort people out into the water.  He is amazing!

 Happy Birthday, Mommy!

We were so blessed to have the S. family and some of the V. family join us.  Here is our group picture with our pastor on the bottom right.

We spent the rest of the day floating down the river, going off an awesome rope swing, fellowshipping, and singing praise songs together.

I think it was just a perfect day.  I will remember it for the rest of my life!
