Life Skills Class Part 2

Bethany: If you remember from last weeks Part 1 of the Life Skills Class, then you are ready for this weeks update!

------------------------

Bethany: We first learned how to write in short-hand. After we learned a few letters we divided up into two teams and had a "short-hand racing game". This is a picture of (our team) Team 1.

Shiloh: Our team had most of the younger girls, but we ended up winning. :) Short-Hand is very interesting, but I must say that I LOVE beautiful penmanship!

Bethany: This is Team 2.

Shiloh: I was the team leader of Team #1 and Karina was the leader of Team #2.

Bethany: This is Beth teaching the class. You did such a good job Beth!

Bethany: Go Shiloh!

Shiloh: Well, I did get 400 points for the team. :)

Bethany: Me picking up my card.

Shiloh: Bethany did a "Challenge with another girl and she won! Good Job, Bethany!

Bethany: Here I am reading (shall I say trying to) my short-hand card!

Shiloh: Here is Videre reading her Short-Hand card to Beth.

Bethany: After the short-hand excitement we all learned how to embroider. The little girls are getting all set up here.

Shiloh: Here is Joy tracing her embroidery...

Bethany: Jordan was such a good brother to watch Judah for us! Thanks Jordan!

Shiloh: Ahh! Boy & Bu-bu! :)

Bethany: After everything else we did Jewish dancing with all the Mothers. It was so good.
Shiloh: We have always enjoyed participating in Messianic Jewish Dancing!

Bethany: Judah playing with Mr. Jed and his stuffed bear.

Bethany: Guess what!? I took this picture! It's a self-pic of (L to R) Joy, Eden, Sumi, and me.

Shiloh: Here is Sumi working on her embroidery!

Bethany: Hmmmm... who's this cute boy?!
Shiloh: Hey! That's my Boy! :)

Bethany: Yes, Jordan and I had to make it over to the cookie table! (By the way, these were Bethany-Approved-Shiloh-Strang-Macaroon-Cookies! The cookies were delicious Shiloh!)
Shiloh: Yes, and they were Wheat Free!!!

Bethany: This is Mrs. Ko & I.

Shiloh: Here is a picture of Beth that one of my siblings took...

Bethany: After we finished everything we played a game of "Knot" (or as I recently was told "Doctor, Doctor").

Bethany: This is just before we left. L to R Beth, Bethany, and Shiloh.

Shiloh: In ending we had a very enjoyable time & now here are some movies for your enjoyment!

Father's Day

Dear Daddy,

We all just want to tell you how much we love you. We all know that you are the best Father in the whole world. We are very thankful for the sacrifice you have made for us and the time you take to read the Bible with us. We are thankful for the example you have set for us and the character you show us. We can surely say we can't become men and women of God without you as our "Prophet, Priest, Protector, and Provider".

We love you very much!

Thank you again!

Happy Father's Day!

Love,

Shiloh, Bethany, Jordan, Eden, and Judah

A Recent Thunder Storm

Quite recently we had a sudden huge thunder storm hit in our neck of the woods. Even though a few trees fell down and everything else was pushed down from the rain we are still amazed at the beauty in God's Wonderful Creation! Here are a few pictures I took directly after the storm...

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice.
~Psalm 96:12

The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth: ~Daniel 4:11

Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth. ~1 Chronicles 16:3

I thought these leaves were just beautiful with the sun shinning through! Don't you think so?

Here is a movie I filmed with Judah during the beginning of the storm. The Pine Trees are blowing so fiercely it looks as though they are going to fall over!

A Babysitting Day!

Today, Bethany and I babysat the Ashmore children while their mother caught up with some household duties. The Ashmore children have grown up so much since we babysat them last year in August! Enjoy the pictures of our Babysitting Day!

Life Skills Class Part1

Last night we went to Mrs Ko's house for an evening of learning Life Skills. The Mother's listened to an Economics Discussion while us girls did a "Chalk Art" picture with Beth. We had so much fun. But on the way home... well, I think I will just have you wait till later to hear that part of the story...! In the meantime, enjoy the pictures!

After the project: a few remaining girls.

Okay... for the remainder part of the story! On our way back home I was suppose to be directing Mommy to the right roads. Well, unfortunately I missed a turn (it was so dark...) and we found ourselves driving down a very strange road with windy switchbacks. But worse then that, we didn't know we were on that road until a long time after. But even worse then that, our car was almost out of gas. But still worse then that, we were lost. But nevertheless worse then that, when I called Daddy to find out what road we were on I lost Cellphone reception. But worse then that... well... I think you know that we thought that there was nothing worse then that! So finally we came to a place that I was able to get Daddy on the phone. He got on the computer and was able to guide us home that way. And so to conclude this wild adventure we arrived safely at home just a little later then expected. Whew!
But through all of that we learned to trust God. If it wasn't for His protection, that crazy night might have turned out much worse than expected! Thank God it didn't!

Well even though we had a very unexpected night time drive last night, we still had a wonderful time ad can't wait till next week!
Remember: Life Skills Class Part 2 is soon to come! Stay tuned!
Oh, by the way, I don't think I'm going to direct the way back home next time either! I done with being a "backseat driver"! :-)
