We were able to witness a Venus and Jupiter's conjunction on June 30th. It was a beautiful sight and one that hasn't been seen since 2,000 years ago! We made a family night of it and set out to an empty parking lot to get a good look.
I set up our telescope and had to do quite a few adjustments while everyone took a look due to the excessive amount of bumping the stool and telescope! They insisted it was the earth rotating, but it doesn't rotate that fast...
I was even able to see Jupiter's moons.
Judah checking his binoculars.
Can you see it in the back?
Daddy and Mommy outshining the star.
Felfie (as apposed to selfie) for the whole family!
My trusty little point-and-shoot camera made me really happy... I wasn't expecting to get these good of pictures!
And then we had some fun... doing artistic things...
Jordan's bright idea.
This pose was quite difficult to capture...
Obviously.
I am a ringleader!
Eden as a blur of limbs.
And see who has created these stars,
The One who leads forth their host by number,
He calls them all by name;
Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power,
Not one of them is missing."
-Isaiah 40:26
I serve an amazing Creator. And if you don't know Him personally, I
suggest you seek and find Him. Just like the Wise Men did.
