Bethany Performs "The Bach Double"

For quite a few months now, I have been working on J.S. Bach's, Concerto For 2 Violins in D Minor. It's been a lot of work and but a lot of fun too! I finally finished it though, and was able to perform it with Jordan and my teacher, Elizabeth Knopp. (You may remember that last December I did a recital of the First Movement... but this is the whole thing!) Over all, the performance was great and we all had a wonderful time!

Please sit back and enjoy these pictures!

--------------------------

All EIGHT pages of the piece!

The guests arrive!

Jordan and I waiting for everyone to be seated...

Okay, everyone is ready! Time to start!

My teacher Elizabeth, introduces the piece.

Sharing the last minute advice of... "Please don't go to fast!" (Yes, that was for me! :) )
Taken "from the top".
Jordan was a great accompanist! "Thanks, you did a wonderful job!" The audience who was so kind to come and listen! (And so that I wouldn't have to play for an empty room!)

I LOVE this picture! Although I don't remember what we were laughing about!
Jordan, Me, and Elizabeth.

The Mothers.

(L-R) Mrs. K., Mommy, Mrs. A. and Mrs. J.

And ALL the girls!!! :)

(L-R) Eden, Me (Bethany), Kathrina, Krista, Janna, Elizabeth, Shiloh, Bethany, Jaime Lyn.

----------------------

Afterwards, we had some time to fellowship!

The girls talking (of course!) in the barn. (Jordan actually took this picture from under the barn door!)

Oh, and of course their were refreshments too! (Can't go wrong with brownies, can you?!)

And again... the girls are talking.

Kathrina and I were able to play some songs together. We had a great time!

We also did some Irish Dancing. (Which the Bisceglia's were so kind to walk us through... step by step!)

-------------------------------

And here's the movie. The ENTIRE concerto! Enjoy!

------------------------

Special thanks to:

"The audience for coming

My family for listening to me practice

My teacher for being such a wonderful teacher

My brother for being a great accompanist

And to Jesus for giving me the talent and grace to do this!"

I LOVE that piece!!!
Way to go Bethany!!!
I'm trying to play that piece but I haven't mastered changing positions yet and I haven't gotten Jess to do it with me yet but I'm working on it.

And BTW I LOVE your skirt Bethany in the photos.
The one with the music on it.
Where on earth did you get it. I'm going to get one of those!

I'm glad we were able to hear you play the Bach double. :) Congrats again! And I know this might seem really strange, but one of my favorite pictures is actually the one Jordan took from under the barn door! I think it looks artistic.

To my pen~pal that I never send letters to.
I'm so sorry about the late, late, late, late, late, late, late, lateness of our letter.

Anyways Bethany I would love the skirt pattern number.

When I published my first comment it simply reloaded the page and didn't tell me it had published successfully or anything like that so I typed it again published and at the bottom asked if my last one had worked.
That was all.

Well I'll comment later.
