Traditions

We finally arrived at Grandma Smith's house at about 3:00 in the morning... We love going to Grandma Smith's home during Christmas time. It is so festive!
Here is Grandma with her two eldest daughters (out of six children)
Cindy, Grandma (Mom), & Laurie

When all six of the eight girl cousins were younger we all used to play a game based on the Biblical story about the Children of Israel and Pharaoh. As we haven't seen our cousins for over three years we decided to play our game of old (complete with dressing up). Sorry we missed you Gibson Girls!

In case you were wondering... We did make our dresses! They were very simple and fun to make... you can get the pattern from The King's Daughters. Judah with his Grandpa:

We love you Grandpa & Grandma Strang

Eating Ice cream with Grandma

The BIG Motor Home

Palm Desert Flight Museum

We went with Grandpa & Grandma Strang to the Palm Desert Air Museum! After looking at all the airplanes Jordan & Shiloh both had the exciting & challenging experience to try out the flight simulators. Both Jordan and Shiloh flew their planes safely to Wake Island, but when they flew into combat... well one of the planes crashed... Can you guess who was the pilot of the plane that went down? We've withheld the names to protect the innocence of the pilot. :)

Here is the plane that Grandpa Strang rode in during the Vietnam War!

Judah stands by the big wheel. Because he was so tiny in comparison to all the planes he really enjoyed walking under them... that is until his sister had to go under too to fetch him out! :-)

Here we all are with Daddy & Grandma & Grandpa by the plane that Grandpa rode in!
More war planes:

Grandpa Smith (Mommy's Daddy) flew a Douglas Dauntless Dive Bomber during WW2.

A model plane:

All 5 of us by the B-25!

We enjoyed seeing all the planes and learning about the different ones that our Grandfathers flew and rode in during the wars.

A Trip to See Our Grandparents

Hello All-

We have just returned from a trip down to Southern California to visit our grandparents and other relatives. Here are some pictures from Days 1-4 where we were in Palm Desert with the Strang grandparents!

_________

Judah sleeping with big Bu-bu! This was a big highlight for him. Every time we would ask him who he was going to sleep with on the motor home Judah would exclaim, "Bu-bu!"

On the motor home we had two slide-outs. In this picture Judah is taking a ride well Jordan is moving the slide out.

I love this look on Judah's face when he first woke up from his nap and saw all the strangers (relatives he had never met) in the room. The two cutest members of the family:
